MYSIA. Adramyteum. Elagabalus, 218-222. Medallion (Orichalcum, 37 mm, 36.16 g, 6 h), Ail. Kom. Ph., son of Nikias and strategos. ΑΥΤ Κ Μ ΑΥΡ ΑΝΤΩΝЄΙΝΟС Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Elagabalus to right. Rev. [ЄΠΙ СΤΡΑ ΑΙΛ ΚΟΜ Φ] ΝЄΙΚΙΟΥ ΑΔΡΑΜΥΤΗ/Ν-ΩΝ Zeus standing facing, head to left, holding eagle in his right hand and long scepter with his left. RPC online -, cf. 4120 (same obverse die but heavily tooled and from a differing magistrate) and 4124 (same reverse die but with a differing bust type). Apparently unpublished and unique. Old scratch on the obverse and with some areas of flatness, otherwise, about very fine.
